The terms, without the fog.
These Terms explain how you may use Peelmeal. They are written for the app we are building: a private, solo cookbook that helps you save recipes, cook from them, plan meals, shop, and use AI features when you choose.

Acceptance
By using Peelmeal, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app or website.
Peelmeal is operated by Zen Zero Pty Ltd, an Australian company. You can contact us at admin@peelmeal.com.
You must be at least 13, or old enough to consent to online services in your country without parental approval. If you use Peelmeal for someone else, you must have authority to do that.
What Peelmeal is
Peelmeal is a mobile app for saving, organizing, planning, shopping for, cooking from, and logging recipes. The v1 app is solo-only: each user owns their own recipe library, shopping list, plans, cook logs, account, and subscription.
Peelmeal is not a social network, public recipe marketplace, medical nutrition service, restaurant or delivery service, emergency service, or professional cooking adviser.
Accounts
Peelmeal may create an anonymous account on first launch so you can start using the app before linking Apple or Google. If you link a provider later, Peelmeal tries to preserve the same user ID and the same data.
You are responsible for keeping your device and linked sign-in providers secure. If you delete your Peelmeal account, the app will delete your private Peelmeal data from the active service, but account deletion does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. See Delete your account for the current steps.
Your content
You keep ownership of recipes, photos, notes, meal plans, shopping items, cook logs, and other content you add to Peelmeal. AI-generated recipe images created for you through Peelmeal are yours to use subject to these Terms, applicable law, third-party rights, and provider or model rules that apply to the generation service. You give Peelmeal the limited permission needed to host, process, sync, back up, display, transform, and delete that content so the app works.
You are responsible for the content you add, import, edit, publish, or share. Do not add content that you do not have the right to use, that violates another person's rights, or that is unlawful, harmful, abusive, or misleading.
Private cookbook content is private to your account by default. If you choose to share content through a system share sheet or a future public Peelmeal link, you are responsible for that sharing choice.
Recipe imports, AI, and sources
Peelmeal can help turn a user-chosen URL, pasted recipe text, manual entry, or generated prompt into structured app data. You should only import sources you have lawful access to. Do not use Peelmeal to bypass paywalls, access private posts, defeat technical restrictions, scrape at scale, or infringe intellectual property rights.
Imported recipes are structured, editable cooking records. Peelmeal is not affiliated with TikTok, Instagram, Pinterest, recipe blogs, Apple, Google, or any source platform unless we say so expressly. Source sites can change, block access, remove content, or provide incomplete data.
AI-generated or AI-structured content can be wrong. Recipe titles, ingredients, quantities, cooking times, temperatures, steps, nutrition estimates, allergy cues, and food-safety details must be reviewed by you before you rely on them.
AI-generated recipe images are illustrative. They may not match the dish you cook, the exact ingredient amounts, or the appearance of any original source recipe. Peelmeal generates recipe images from your saved recipe details and does not copy, import, download, or re-host third-party source photos for this feature.
If a generated image appears offensive, inappropriate, misleading, or otherwise unsafe, use the fixed-reason in-app report action on the recipe so Peelmeal can review it. Reporting is separate from deleting or replacing the image.
Peelmeal may block, remove, or review image requests or outputs that appear sexual, explicit, graphically violent, hateful, unlawful, self-harm related, controlled-substance related, weapon-related, or otherwise unsafe.
Cooking safety
Cooking involves heat, sharp tools, allergens, spoiled food, and personal judgement. Peelmeal may show timers, ingredient lists, nutrition estimates, and cook-mode steps, but you remain responsible for safe food handling, checking ingredient labels, avoiding allergens, and deciding whether a recipe is suitable for you or anyone you cook for.
Nutrition estimates are informational only. They are not medical advice, dietetic advice, or a substitute for a qualified professional.
Free tier and subscriptions
Peelmeal offers a free utility tier for manual recipes, saved library, meal planning, basic cook mode, favorites, and basic shopping. Some AI, image, adaptation, and nutrition features may require Premium or a remaining free starter credit.
Premium subscriptions are billed through the App Store or Google Play. Store screens control the final price, currency, trial eligibility, renewal date, cancellation flow, refund flow, and taxes. You can manage or cancel subscriptions through the store account that billed you.
Premium is an auto-renewing subscription. Unless you cancel, it renews automatically at the end of each billing period — monthly for a monthly plan, or yearly for an annual plan, which may include an introductory free trial. Your account is charged through the App Store or Google Play within 24 hours before each renewal. You can turn off auto-renewal from your store account up to 24 hours before the period ends; cancelling stops future renewals but does not refund the current period.
Uninstalling Peelmeal or deleting your Peelmeal account does not cancel a store subscription. If you do not want future charges, cancel through Apple or Google before the renewal date shown by the store.
When you download Peelmeal from the App Store or Google Play, your agreement is with Zen Zero Pty Ltd, not with Apple or Google. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. You must also comply with the applicable App Store or Google Play terms. Where these Terms conflict with a store's required terms for a purchase made through that store, the store's required terms apply to that purchase.
Permissions and app behavior
Some features need device permissions, such as notifications for timers, photos for recipe images, or network access for sync and AI features. You can deny or revoke permissions in your device settings, but related features may stop working.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use Peelmeal for unlawful, infringing, abusive, deceptive, or harmful activity;
- try to access another user's data, accounts, or private storage;
- attack, overload, reverse engineer, or bypass security, quota, entitlement, or rate-limit systems;
- submit private, paywalled, confidential, or sensitive third-party content without permission;
- use AI or image features to create or request unlawful, hateful, sexual, explicit, graphically violent, deceptive, impersonating, self-harm, controlled-substance, weapon, rights-infringing, or otherwise unsafe content;
- use Peelmeal outputs as professional medical, nutrition, legal, or safety advice;
- misrepresent affiliation with Peelmeal or with any source platform.
Changes and availability
We may change, suspend, remove, or limit features as the product evolves. External providers, app stores, source websites, AI services, and network conditions can affect availability. We will try to keep the app calm and useful, but we cannot promise that every feature will always be available or error-free.
We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe an account is misusing Peelmeal, violating these Terms, creating risk, or causing harm.
Disclaimers and liability
Peelmeal is provided as is and as available, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee recipe accuracy, AI accuracy, nutrition accuracy, uninterrupted operation, or that a recipe is safe or suitable for your circumstances.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Zen Zero Pty Ltd will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost goodwill, or business interruption. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable consumer law.
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify Zen Zero Pty Ltd for claims, losses, and costs arising from content you add or import, your misuse of Peelmeal, or your breach of these Terms. This does not limit the rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other mandatory consumer protection laws.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country require otherwise. If a court finds part of these Terms unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
You and Zen Zero Pty Ltd submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia for disputes under these Terms. This does not affect any mandatory right you have to bring proceedings in the courts of the place where you live under local consumer law.
